New Delhi : India’s major directo-to-home channel operator Tata Sky begins the new year with the launch of India’s first premium 4K set top box (STB) in India. It's the time of launching of the set-top box just a month before the World Cup 2015 kicks off.
The set top box will be available for existing and new subscribers to enjoy the forthcoming cricket matches in ultra HD 4K picture clarity.
The company said subscribers can book their the 4K set top box for Rs 6,400 while existing subscribers can avail of the box at Rs 5,900, who can enjoy it as their first connection or an additional STB at home with the Tata Sky MultiTV connection option.
The 4K content provides ultra high definition 4K beams content at a resolution of 3840 x 2160, which is 4 times the pixels of full HD with better picture and colour clarity. “With the smallest details standing out in crystal clarity, even colours take on a whole new life with the 10 bit true colour,” said TatSky on its website.
The multiple TV option also offers the standard definition and high definition channels on the 4K set-top box priced Rs.6,400 and the company said it would offer the box for Rs.5,900 for existing customers.
